According to Ad Week, Mercedes would not provide a vehicle for use in the film and Coke would not let its brand appear.
In one scene. the orphan brothers are being lured by an adult offering ice-cold Cokes. While the labels were altered to remove the logo, the distinctive shape and red label said "Coke" loud and clear. And a Mercedes appeared in a crucial scene of the film where it was stripped by a band of street urchins.
I just saw the film and it was pretty awesome.
